Leo 'Fender' was to cheap to use real wood so he used maple for bass necks! I know sickening isn't it!

Sorry, I figured yes we are lol, anyway, we all know a higher voltage is not going to give us a higher output, is the demand of the electrical system and nothing else.

I think the original design intent was that you would store a ham sandwich in the gap in the neck pocket, but it became obsolete now that gigs don't pay enough to be able to afford ham.

I'm assuming those two Jaguars are passive only? If you have a "hum" it's likely a grounding issue.

If you're hearing a "buzz", it's the single coil pickups when set at different volume levels. Nothing to do with them being Fender brand.

its active / passive switchable (and part of why i love it). the hum is mostly a grounding issue (the one that got burned also got the copper cavity shielding treatment) but the single coils still caused such significant hum its almost unusable for recording. Fender's response after digging into the issue is "its intended to retain that classic sound". Its just a part of this bass from every example i've read about. I don't mind, it can make so many sounds and I have always loved the way it looks.
