Oh, my bad. In that case, why don't we declare war on a significant portion of our society and trample lots of civil liberties in order to stamp it out. What? We're doing that already? Who's the dumb asses here anyway?
I know some pretty intelligent people who have done meth.

Tweaked out tennis stars going at it? Dude, meth can make people SUPER violent and ultra volatile. Last thing on earth I'd want to see is two methed out people with what amounts to clubs alone on a hard surface with only a flimsy net between them.
Sure it can, but thats not always the case. Sometimes it just makes people really awake and alert and paranoid and talkative and horny. It would be like watching two super soldiers face off against each other, but in tennis form.
With the kind of money he was raking in I'm sure he took the opportunity to try all sorts of things. He had the sense to not let it destroy him. Good for him.
Not all drugs are equal. You will find little support for advocating the rights of tweakers. Crystal Meth is destructive and bad. Not only should it be illegal and strictly enforced, but there should be lots of money spend educating people about how bad it really is. A significant portion of our society is eroding because of this drug. I see it everyday in my neighborhood where I teach. Mothers prostituting in front of my students for their next hit on the quag. I watched a roommate and college buddy destroy his life and wind up homeless because of Meth. Sure, some people have tried it and walked away. Good for them, but this hardly warrants some kind of campaign advocating its benefits and 'harmless' nature.
Perhaps I misinterpreted the intent of your response, if so, have a beer.
I definitely agree. Meth is an ever increasing problem and much more needs to be done to keep it out of the hands of users, for everyones benefit.

The before and after photos are good for educational purposes. Their faces and their teeth for that matter.

A former next-door neighbor really messed himself up badly with meth. I think a significant portion of his cerebral functions probably are never coming back.
Meth has been very bad in rural and suburban mid America and the South. Meth has had an effect on poor and working class White communities that is very similar to the impact that Crack has had on similar Black communities, it's just that there were a few more resources in the White communities to begin with, so the bottom usually has not been quite as low for them, but it has certainly been bad enough.
Very destructive and bad, although in reality not especially worse than cocaine and heroin.
Education, yes. Prohibition, no.
Prohibition creates many more problems than it solves, and has shown almost zero effectiveness at reducing usage.
Education is really the only thing that works with respect to any substance - and you'd better tell kids the truth, or you defeat your purpose. See: DARE graduates being more likely to use drugs than non-DARE graduates for a perfect example.

There are huge parallels between Meth and Crack - not just in usage models/addiction issues, but also in hyped treatment by the media.
