Is the song different every time? If not, send the new player decent live recordings of your band playing each song, and rehearsals are not really necessary.

I should add that I was shocked to see the guy who responded is actually doing pretty good for himself these days. He's had some legit musical success, and honestly - I'm happy for him. This might prove entertaining to some Getta Load of this!

Last time around, the BL ordered him to come to a rehearsal when he shouldn’t have been driving. No one was ready and the rehearsal time was wasted arguing politics. The all pro bassist stormed off in his vehicle, crashing it into the BL’s van and destroying everyone’s gear.

So, from now on: No rehearsal, no politics, and I’m not driving.

So much YIKES in that response...shame his band never made it big, I wonder why not? :roflmao:

That's both incredibly weird and sad: who is lonely enough to post a photo of a dead musician with a fake ad hoping to get angry responses?

True. I made fun of the ad but I didn’t know. Seems to me that it could possibly be someone on a forum like this or another forum trying to make up something to get a laugh. It’s just too convenient to anything other than that. I’m always suspicious of those type of “hey look what I found..” not saying the op is in on it. Just saying someone wanted it to be discovered and discussed.
Or, it’s just a lonely troll trolling. Either way it’s a tragedy. Mr. Elmer probably was a member here or at least used Talkbass.
