Carnaby Street and the Mod lifestyle, as a phenomenon, was pretty much over by late ‘66, when moustaches(and acid)were starting to creeping in. Likewise The Beatles realized at some point in time that everything they did, said, or recorded would be closely scrutinized for decades to come. Whether interest in what they accomplished will be studied for centuries remains to be seen.
