That’s pretty wild- my Obstructures has a slight buzz on the open G but it doesn’t really affect playability or carry over thru amplification.
Wish I could offer some sound advice- I’ll ask over on the group for you. Seems to me like the nut might just be cut too low. Also wondering if a shim of some sort under the top part of the neck would give enough extra relief to make that go away. I hate to see this being problematic for you out of the gate like this but I’d certainly try some things to remedy the situation before deciding to part with it!

Could you snap a couple of pics from this angle from both sides of the neck?
The consensus is that if there’s any sign of backbow, you should send return it and have them send a new one.

Also might be an odd neck pocket. If that’s the case, if you have another Precision or Jazz laying around you could see if it sets up OK on another body. I know that sounds like a pain but the only way to be sure.

I'll go ahead and take a couple pics, but the neck is currently off. I don't have a spare body to test against

Sorry for the off topic guys... I believe some of you are on the Electrical Audio forum as well?
Do you know what happened? Has it been moved?
It's been a few days now since I couldn't even open it. I have no other places to have a chat with someone, aside from this and that other one
I hope it didn't just vanish like that... :atoz:
