Am I being unreasonable?

Depends what you want it to show.
I have stuff that I could feasibly send but I don't own it.
I have private stuff of me just goofing around but its a bit over the top.
I have a couple of things that people filmed on a phone.

I'm not often asked but I'd have to spend time cropping the file.
I have a lot more audio, but is that convincing?

I wonder how many people actually bother about accruing that stuff. When I offer my audio to the guys, not many are interested. They say they know how the gig went in regard to the way they played.
I assume they avoid hearing it in playback.
I often have to tell them its worth listening to..but there are few takers.

Most people looking for auditioners don't really need very much. I got a job based on a tiny little clip that barely showed anything once. What it showed that guy was that I was indeed capable of getting a gig and being on a stage somewhere, I guess. After that I sat in my house in front of a computer and recorded a playalong video, which got me many auditions. Eventually I had much better live audio/video and there are lots of clips and songs on YouTube that, while I don't own all of them, are visible to anyone.

The point is you can start anywhere and nobody's looking for a polished Hollywood production. They just want to see if you can play.

All of that happened because every single person I contacted asked me for video.

I am a bass player in a band, but would like to perhaps join a second band. I see an ad on Craigslist for a band forming two towns away, the format seems interesting. So I send an email, mentioning that my current band is playing out tomorrow night at the local brewery. I give the time and place in the message.

Almost immediately I get this in response: "Hi...I am not sure if I will be able get by there tomorrow. Let me know if you want to talk by phone."

The gig is ten miles from where the poster lives and he can't make it?
None of the three members can make it?

Am I being unreasonable in thinking that them hearing and seeing me in a band context is the best and most efficient way for me to audition? And if they pass it up, or poster does not tell the others, then probably it's for the best?

Definitely not being unreasonable. You are actually being rather ridiculous. People have lives, and given the situation no way I would be giving up my Friday night to go see a CL rando gig with another band, especially if there hasn't even been a phone conversation yet. Your offer is not so much an invitation, as a red flag.
