Here’s how things are now. It’s not ideal but it’s what it is. I found myself moving the Black Sequencer from the bottom row to the top since I found myself squinting at the screen more than I expected to, so probably better to have it at eye level. The bottom row is set to be effects I could plug my bass into without using the top and middle sections, so it has interface modules, delay, reverb, and filter, along with PNW to sync delay times and provide a modulation source.

I've seen various types of joysticks in a lot of racks...in what contexts do you find yourself using it?
The joystick from Erica has quite a few interesting functions. It can be an LFO, it can record a movement pattern, it can even drone. For me, I mostly use it to patch into the Zoia for easier external control of parameter modulation. It’s handy for moving a VCA or VCF around, as well as controlling panning on stereo effects. Honestly, I probably underutilize mine, or find it more effort to patch than it might be worth in many cases. It’s nice to have one available but it’s not a requirement.
If you’re interested in giving one a shot I’ve got a v1 Erica that doesn’t have all the same tricks as the v2.
How do you like Ataraxic Iteritas? It's the only Noise Engineering oscillator I haven't tried yet. I'm kind of hoping they do a plugin version, though generally I feel like their plugins and modules are very different beasts.
I've generally got controllers on the bottom row, utilities and modulators next, oscillators above that, and FX on top... not exactly because stuff has to fit in the available space, but kinda.
I just got a BeetTweek haptic feedback knob controller and it's pretty fantastic. Pricey but probably worth it in the long run (as much as any of this stuff is).

I got it because it was weird. It can do some nice conventional sounds too, but it gets into strange lands I haven't figured out a use for. Overall, I'm happy with it. I don't know if I'd pick it as my first/only VCO, but it is nice to have in the mix.

Glad you’re feeling better @monsterthompson . It took me a long time to figure out where I liked stuff in my rack. I don’t think there’s an alternative to trial and error.

Anyone know of bassists using a kill switch arcade button similar to Buckethead? I just watched a IG video with a guy making some fun noises using one. I found the full track and I’m not a fan, but check the solo around 2:55.

Not an arcade button but imo the most well known “kill switch” user is Tom Morello.

I put a kill switch in one of my basses, but I still suck at bass.

I don’t chase my sound with buying gear. I’ve been using the same cheap pedals since the beginning and I found my sound using what was available.
… Now you can buy a Dunlop pedal that gets my “exact” tone since I collaborated with them, and I collect royalties on each sale.
