Old guy synth problems - New module with a screen means where do I put that in the rack so that I can see the screen without squinting and contorting? Cable management be damned, I gotta read that thing.

If it makes you feel any better I finally hit the age that I bought my first ear, nose amd eyebrow trimmer yesterday.Im seriously at the age when my reading distance is really a mess with or without my distance glasses on. It used to be an easy on/off choice. Now it’s a bit of leaning in/back. Also my handicap impacts my left arm so I need to set things where I can easily do a lot of right arm work, instead of crossing it over.

That da-da-daaa da-da-daaa trancey vibe, for example? I’ve tried playing around with a programmable tremolo but can’t quite nail it. I considered a step sequencer like the Korg SQ-1 but the patterns I’m after need a combination of short and long note durations so need the ability to join steps together to create longer notes in the pattern… not sure if the Korg can do this. Any other ideas?
Cool, thanks man. I'll check them out. Very helpful to know the term 'ratchet' for searching too... there's only so far you can get with da-da-daaaSounds you might be looking for a sequencer with ratchet function. The Erica Black has that capability but it might not fit your workflow (or budget). There might be other devices out there with ratchet functions in the firmware. Perhaps Arturia?
I can also do this using a Maschine 2 control pad but that’s another big investment.

Album release time!
Different lengths I believenotes with different lengths (one is 1/4, one is 1/8) or different durations (all quarters notes but some are long, some are short)?
