It's well past 3 AM. I just finished unloading my truck after a synth gig in which we pulled out all the stops, synths, bass guitar, amplifiers, even a video synth and projector. Played at a space-themed brewery, whose owner really liked it the last time I played and asked me back, saying I can play there whenever I feel like. Some of the patrons really liked it, as did the bartender, who told me she was a fan of Gary Numan and Tangerine Dream. My girlfriend brought her theremin for the second time, so as far as I'm concerned she is an official member of Helium Road now.
I just showered and am eating a ham and cheese sandwich, since I haven't eaten since lunch, unless you count beer. I mean, I was playing at a brewery, owned by a gigantic Pink Floyd fan, so yeah, lots of beer. And after our set and the official closing time, we all got together on the spotify/youtube device and started playing various obscure bands and things. I put on Tangerine Dream's Rubycon Part 2 in response to someone asking me who my influences are, and now I believe there are a couple more TD fans in the world. Electronic music and beer. Sometimes life is good.
