Oh definitely! I'm a pretty huge fan (as evidenced by the fact that I keep up w your posts/vids and even purchase and use your books). Your post makes it seem like you found my remark about you being out of touch w what's new in the pedal world as offensive? Not sure why being in/out of touch w what's new would matter? Just an observation of mine as I consume a lot of youtube content around pedals...talking about pedals is my #1 hobby. We all have opinions on content creators that we watch/follow - the point is if we watch or not (and I continue to be a subscriber who consumes a large volume of what you put out in the world - I can't say the same about a lot of other popular demo'ers).
I'd say I'm pretty out of touch too and I try to keep up. The real guys who are up-to-date are the ones doing all the demo videos of stuff that coincides w actual releases. I mean, the Ottobit Jr was released over 3 years ago. Still an awesome pedal (I have one on my board too), but not exactly on the bleeding edge of what's new. Your Dubterranea vid, on the other hand, is so bleeding edge that no one else has em/can get em.
It's my one point of critical feedback. You talk so expertly about everything, but as one of the leading bassists who is associated as an effects user, the expertise is a bit less than expert in my opinion. Just reference your vid on the moog control processor. I was pumped for that vid to learn more about a box that has largely been a mystery to me. In your vid you explain that you have it because you bought the wrong thing and still aren't really sure how it works...as such, I look at your pedal studio vids as entertainment and an opportunity to see how you are using the pedal, but not a deep dive educational demo. The rest of your content I mostly consider as educational...that's all. I still watch them and enjoy them and continue to be a fan.
