Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Spent some more time w Beebo. This is gonna be a journey. The sounds are pretty fantastic but the real.magic is in the power to create sounds. It is almost not worth it if your output isnt leveraging stereo because you can do SO much w a stereo image.

That said, you cant change presets live. Load time is a real consideration. This is a studio tool or something to use one preset per song w. It is the kind of effect that should be in a stereo effects loop of a mixer. The rotary on it is insanely good...as are most of the modulations. Def sounds digital but super clean and really high quality audio. I have so much more to learn and discover. Havent even updated it yet so it is like 3 updates behind.

Just consider the logic. You can record you accompanying a loop into another looper to build and deconstruct things. You dont have to worry about having machine like timing...but you need to make a loop that feels close. This way you can always build into another looper and clear out the old...you can also build under a loop and fade out the other or take a part of a loop into the other. You always have a looper to build into or behind this way.

Good info. The patch change time isn’t something I’ve seen commented on. I don’t believe to Zoia suffers from the same lag issue.

I know a few of you guys in here are into metal... currently listening to kingdom of giants new album passenger, probably one of the better mixes of synth and metal. I guess they’re kind of djent/core but there’s lots of clean singing, samples, synth running through the whole song.

I have one in my pile. Used with my band a few times for one song that has a bass solo. You can do a lot of cool stuff with it, and as with all such things an expression pedal makes it more playable. Haven't played with it lately.

Yeah those glou glou boxes are wild.but they are massive. I have the Mautarde (PLL). Sound is amazing but so impractical.

The crappy video filter that mutes all colors except for his orange lips, nostrils, and ear lobes is what irks me most.

I like this and don't mind the crackle, but I'd need stereo. And a bigger pedalboard.
