Almost everything I use for pedals and instruments is either the black Hosa Pro cables, or the EBS flat cables (mostly the smaller gold ones). No issues with function or sound.

Almost everything I use for pedals and instruments is either the black Hosa Pro cables, or the EBS flat cables (mostly the smaller gold ones). No issues with function or sound.
I got hosa cables. Zero issues after about 8 years.
Not custom high end magic unicorn stuff but they are plenty good enough for me.
Also use hosa colored cables to patche my mixer and fx loops.
For custom lengths I ask my luthier buddy to make custom ones. I buy connectors and he has the wire cable, i have no idea what brand.
I've been using a lot of the EBS flat cables, wherever possible. With the exception of those, I avoid any cable that I can't open and check/resolder.

I don't pick on Meg White. That's just mean. She's never done me wrong.
If I want to pick on a musician, Ill choose one from the collection of unreliable numbskull bandmates who've wasted my time over the years. I'm guessing Meg at least showed up for gigs on time, for example.

If I remember from a jack white interview... apparently he never wanted her to take lessons or she may lose the “simple drumming” she did. I guess it’s like lars ulrich... not the best but fits the music for what it is.
Yeah, it's not like White's John McLaughlin and needs a Billy Cobham.

I can't believe this thing handles the low B and synths sound good through it, and I can actually get some volume out of it. Got a battery pack coming, and am starting to think about building the mini-board. The Miezo 18 should be here in Feb. I am seriously gonna be playing six-string pedalboard ambient stuff on top of mountains, this summer. So glad I didn't go with the cheaper stuff. I got this for a steal on Reverb for 300 bucks, it's mint, and you can't really seem to find one for less than 400 used.
Maybe I'll figure out a way to mount it to my back and play while cross country skiing.

Those Double Fours are attractive; would love to have two of them since I run my ambient/synth rig in stereo, but even one is a bit rich for me at this point. Now for a way to power Moog synths with batteries...
Well, I'll bet you could certainly power the smaller ones like the Mother 32, if they're DC

there are a lot of simple drummers who sound great. she's not one of them, imo.
My ex was temporally challenged, unfunky, and 5 other things that exemplify bad drummers.
Simple's great, does the job, if that's what the job calls for.
Yeah, it takes 12VDC, so it's doable with the right kind of battery. Add in a couple of pedals at 9VDC and whatever would power the Double Four and you're starting to talk amperage wise. I've seen those power pack things in sporting goods stores and wondered if one of those might do the trick for a couple of hours.

Speaking of new gear recommended in this thread, that quicklok DJ table showed up today, the DJ233. Damn I knew the dimensions but it seems so big...but its perfect for my bleep bloop board. Now I cam set up pretty much anywhere within 15 feet of electricity and can mess w my setup seated or standing!
....and yes, it arrived dented as all the reviewers suggested
Ugh, don't get me started... I've been paying rent on a rehearsal studio that I've only set foot in four times since February: Once to rescue a couple pedals, once just to confirm that all my gear was still intact (surprise, it wasn't!), once to replace the no-longer-intact gear, and once to rescue a couple basses that I was no longer comfortable storing in a place that I'd only visited four times in 11 months. Sucks.
Does she have a sister?
After trying George L's and learning to detest them (my experience pretty much mirrors Ugly's) I switched almost everything over to the EBS. So far so good.
