Yep what ugly said... rookie mistake of plugging send into output of what I had in my loop and not the input. Funny thing was it actually worked with the pedal ON that way just to confuse matters haha
I never use loops though, not even on my amps so I’ll just take it on the chin for this one

Awesome word. Had to look it up. I haven't had one of those in a while. The last 2 words that happened with, are now a part of my regular vocab and I bust em out all the time...

So an update on @emjazz’s suggestion to go to Instagram to contact Smallsound/Bigsound. Tonight I got an emailed apology and an offer to fix the pedal for free. Shipping out tomorrow. Thank you! One less paperweight in my drawer.
my interactions with him were always cool. seems like a good dude.
