It’s a very nice piece! I like it a lot...do you not have a way of recording into a DAW of some sort?

Yes, I have a full blown studio UAD/Logic/ Adobe/Ableton etc etc etc. but that's how I make my living, when rehearsing I like to try and not think about that stuff lol. It's nice to be able to seriously record any time I want though. This was just an improv, testing some ideas. Thanks for checking it out!

Solo bass jam on my Octatrack mk2

Live sampled a bass riff. Sliced it and set a bunch of parameter locks to randomize the riff. Live sampled myself smacking the bass to get the ‘drums.’ The chordal stuff was through my Count To Five, Enzo and Specular Tempus

So, I’m letting the cat out of the bag. My Dec 2 performance in LA will have special guest collaboration with my good friend Matthew Setzer. He’s a member of Skinny Puppy, ohGr, and London After Midnight, as well as his own band Indradevi, which is EDM with a heavy influence of Cambodian pop music. It’s an honor for someone of my humble origins and abilities to get to collaborate with such an accomplished musician. I’m hoping to milk the rehearsals for as much jam time as I can. I’m expecting this to be a blast, and a learning experience.

He’s already offered to bring a ton of awesome gear to the performance, including a mixer rig he just took on the road with ohGr, which will let us multi-track record everything.

I’m pretty excited.

The week before, I get to trigger tracks for a ritual at an art show with Behemoth. I won’t be creating much for that event, but being more of a DJ. It’s the day after they play the Wiltern in LA.

It’s going to be a pretty decent way to close out an already big year for me. I don’t plan on doing anything else in December. Though I may have a track or two to drop.

Ok, this is a bit ‘quiet storm’ of me, but...
A buddy on mine just got a Moog Grandmother and I recorded about 10 minutes of him messing around with it. Went home and mangled it to death, added some 0 Coast synth and came up with this

One of my e-music friends has a Grandmother and brought it to the last show so I got to see and hear it up close. Cool piece of kit, and more capable than it first looks. Some people didn't like the 70s "Howard Johnson's" décor scheme of it, but others liked the retro look, and of course it sounds great. Moog generally does not make junk.
