Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

I saw this when it came out. But for me, the fun of the exp is all the stuff in between.

I'm assuming you can get the "in-between" by turning the knobs (obviously a desktop or looper user benefits more). I'm thinking you can have A active and adjust the position of B, then switch to B and adjust A, then switch back, rinse and repeat.

Anybody remember the T.I.P. "Third Hand" pedal? I bought one to control the feedback on my Space Echo - it mechanically turns the knob, worked ok, kind of a pain to set up and tighten properly. Long out of production, apparently there was an older Electro-Harmonix pedal (the Hotfoot?) that was similar. I haven't used mine in years, I wonder how the rubber band is holding up...

Here's a sold listing from Reverb: T.I.P. Tone in Progress Third Hand | Steve's Gear Depot | Reverb

What are the dirt pedals in the aux send of your mixer?
Any of them stereo?
Plus you have the empress verb in it right??

Right now I've got the Hilbish Compressimiser and Electrofoods Germ Warfare. I had the Hilbish Sol Invictus in there but swapped it out. I might try a few others later. I'm looking at the OTO Machines BOUM for a stereo option, but they aren't easily found. The next best thing is the Elektron Heat, but I haven't been impressed with it.

I have the Empress Echo System and Reverb in there.

Know of any cool stereo dirt??
Slowly building my « tape manipulation » FX chain. (Only stereo pedals....)
All pedals must be tweakable for live manipulation.

I’ll have to fend of groupies with a stick with that project.

Aftershock is gonna be the cheapest option but I didn’t like it on bass.

Hah, that's funny, as that's my only dirt pedal. Not a big dirt guy, as ya'll know.
For bass, my dirt is pretty much covered. Haven’t got a new one i a long time, even trimmed down my board for heavy stuff after lots of tests (live, with small PA, recorded etc....), down to only a VT bass cranked. Sounds freakin awesome and is simple.

I think the VT is my desert island pick. Saved my @$$ so many times and played every style under the sun with it.

The VT Bass always sounds good (I use the DI).
I have the old beat to crap v1 that's been on my board ever since they came out and the VTDI for at home recording plugged in using 48v. Its actually velcroed to my work desk.

When the di version didn't exist it was vt and radial pro di combo.
Built like a tank and can go from heavy shizzle to bossa nova cocktail zzzzz party is 2 secs flat.

That pro di has been literally to hell and back.
Its been stickered up to many times to count to avoid theft. The sides are rusted and still works flawlessly like new. (I can show pics as proof).
My gig pedals where in a bag banged up with a dasy chain.

Old korg dt-10, vt bass, prodi. They all work like new, but that korg tuner is huge, good weapon in a bar fight :)

I also have a J48 velcroed to the back of my road cased svt 4 pro (pre buy out usa made)

1The ampeg one sux.
Chasis common ground....who's dumb freakin idea was that!??!?!?!??!
