I tend to knock my stuff around pretty hard on those things we use to call gigs.

I still dont trust myself with some of my cork sniffer pedals for live use.

Anyone here subscribe to Night Flight Plus? I’m considering it, and they look to have some potentially interesting docs and music based movies (Devo, history of punk, etc.). It’s a lot of B-Movie and exploitation and horror stuff. It isn’t crazy expensive so I’m tempted to give it a try for a while.

I used to watch Night Flight a lot. For $5 a month seems worth it.

I'm pretty gentle on all of my stuff, whether at gigs or not, especially at dive bars, although it's been a long time since I've played a dive bar, and it's also somewhat likely I may never, again, just because of the kinds of stuff I'd be playing. This will mostly be a couch bass, although I am thinking of incorporating it and the pedalboard in my synth shows. I think I'll just be super careful.

Nah, one of my University Teachers had a 40k-50k (there’s a list already to buy it when he retires). He put on its side between sets of a snooze jazz cocktail gig. Got knocked towards the drums riser and completely tore off the finger board. Lucky it was only the glue and little pieces of wood that chipped.

Easy fix, but still, sux.

I only had the ones I could borrow.

I asked the luthier about it. He said he did have one person drop it directly on the horn... it cracked somewhere else but the horn stayed solid, it's full thickness.

We shall see.

Granted it has been a while for me too but yes, despite playing dodgy bars (where else would one play metal?) I haven’t had anything happen...
have had my k5 knocked over when I was doing a bass part at a kids rock school thing by a kid and took a nice chunk out of the back. He said he would pay for it but a) he couldn’t afford to abs b) luckily nothing to see really, just a nice war wound that’s barely noticeable when it’s stained black finish

That's cool. I might get me one.

Now they just need to add an LFO function for a deluxe version. You could even use a small motor and lever arm thing to rotate one of the knobs back and forth, and dress it up like a steampunk device. (Sometimes I like to envision doing things the hard way just because they look cool I guess).

for the desktop effects users, you could probably connect the knobs with a wrapped rubber and and turn one knob which would move the other.

I keep thinking there should be a second stomp or long-press option to engage/disengage the expression unit.
