@monsterthompson is the mashup dude. One of you samplin’ folk should make an ambient tune with a Wolf sample
Porn would have been better.time for an old guy story.
once upon a time . . .
when i was on tour, i had friends who were at berklee. so when we were playing boston, i'd hang with them.
they tell me about this new thing (this is probably 77 or so?) called the real book and where to get it.
you'd go to the copy spot on boylston ("right near store 24," so you didn't mess it up) and tell them you wanted the real book. they'd take a look around, reach under the counter and pull out this package wrapped in plain brown paper. you'd hand them a $20 bill and off you'd go.
felt like i was buying porn or something.

If I sample some of his stuff I’ll mangle it into oblivion.
RE: Real Book.
We had a rule last years I went to school, you know the song.....rip out the page.
And that book is soooooo full of mistakes its crazy, so good knowledge of harmony is absolutely crucial. Some chords changes are just plain wrong,
I didn’t listen, but I know main story. I always hated that Book. The negatives outweigh the positives of its existence.I’ll get to work
The issues about the accuracy of the notation are definitely part of the story told. It’s not a piece that extols the virtues of the book, as much as it describes the place it has/had in history and culture.

My 2 cents.

All good.having fun

Learn the right key, then transpose in all 12.If I'm playing "Autumn Leaves" I'll play whatever #$%^&* key the singer wants it in.
The only wrong key is wonkey, and even that can be acceptable and preferable under some circumstances.
So... how does "Autumn Leaves" go anyway, I've never listened to Ed Sheeran, can you hum a few bars?
