Speaking of wood: Anyone recognize the brown wooden thing sitting on top of the ARP 2600 in the middle of the pile? Because that's what my bandmate was using last Wednesday night.

I can say with 100 percent honesty that I made it through the last 2 decades without ever knowing a Nickelback or Coldplay or whatever garbage they pass off as rock.

And with that, I'm out of here. Had my second shot yesterday and it's kicking my ass, really hard, today.

I considered Oberlin, but not for music. They were going to let play football :)
After a one-day visit, I knew that four years on that campus was not going to work for me. I was still tempted by the idea that I could worm my way into a few music classes.

I slipped and this ended up in my cart.
It would be rude not to patch it.

Also Arturia prices are going up. Almost bought a Keystep Pro but they’re $100 higher that they were, and my perfect circuit code wouldn’t work.

There’s a new update that just came out for the Keystep Pro that seems to be significant, but I haven’t done it yet. Honestly, I don’t think the KSP is all that great. Doesn’t totally suck, but ain’t great

yeah. It’s bigger than I’d like for my remaining desk size. The tipping point for me was the fact that it can work as midi to CV converter from the DAW sequencing. The regular KS might be enough for me, but I figured the extra features could be useful even though it’s overkill.

The CV outs were definitely a big selling point to me when I got it. They work well too. Most of the time when I do something on my modular I just use the Qu-Bit Bloom and sample stuff if I need more than two tracks of the modular. I suppose it depends on what you’re going for. I also have a Polyend midi to CV converter so I can sequence the eurorack from the Octatrack, but I don’t very often anymore for some reason

I looked at that Poly. I’ve got 3 oscillators but the Erica MIDI/CV module only splits to two voices, so I can’t use all 3 at once for polyphony. Not that I need more than I have. Maybe I’ll grab a standard KS just to have a plug/play keyboard with the CV outs.
