so a while back i posted something i called "one couch" at the time. changed the name, stripped out some of the synth stuff and added another tune to make an ep bandcamp release.
12-string fretted and fretless basses. all the bass effects are red panda stuff having the blend controlled by different ev pedals live.
iridium controlled by kmi kp4 pro using mpe for more normal stuff; hydrasynth controlled by linnstrument for quarter tone/ microtonal stuff.

Possibly. I may be wrong but Arturia is primarily a software company that got into hardware. They send me a lot of emails trying to sell me "plugins" or some such, none of which I understand or am interested in.
yeah. maybe, but (from memory) microbrute, drum brute, maxibrute. one of the principals at asm (hydrasynth) was at arturia, i'm pretty sure, and he had a long history of hardware (including arturia, i believe).
i think they did do a bunch of ios things.
they're subtle, no? i tried to get them to just creep up on you in certain places.
I really like the effect they give out. A sort of tension\release kind of thing. More like breath in …hold…..breath out…..

they really are. can’t be used for everything. they’re also kind of addictive, but are harder on the neck and shoulders. if only someone could make a good headless system for multi-course strings. (thanks for listening)
not pain while playing. it’s an accumulation of muscle alignment/ergonomic issues after playing them for a while.
they balance well when standing, surprisingly. however, there’s a lot of weight at the end of the neck due extra wood and tuners (even lightweight ones).
also, i usually play them with a pick, which has its own ergonomic issues.
and i have crap posture when i practice (and my body is older).
The left hand stretch to get that low C is making cringe just thinking about it
Maybe stretching and ……
Also looking up for luthiers that could possibly make a custom headstock “thingy” for a headless 12 string ?

Back in the day Steinberger made a clever variation of their double-ballend bridge system for 12-string guitars

I wonder if some enterprising machinist or 3D printer could modify their idea for an octave-course bass?

it’s all okay. stretching is good and something i do. my neck is fu¢ked.
the design/r&d for a 12-string headless system would be intense. i think they sell a lot to guitar players.
or get fodera to talk to steinberger. they do go way back.
