Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Can work be over now?

Can you please commit your entire night to playing with that and report back tomorrow? I'm eager for your review (and just sold some gear that could possibly fund one of these puppies if I don't blow it on something else first)...

I’ve got work and then leg-day. I’m not going anywhere after that. I still don’t think I’ll have time to scratch the surface of this thing in an evening. I’ll do what I can.

Has anyone looked at the Mooer modverb?
I’m looking at modulated reverbs and that showed up but seems hardly any reviews... or do I go for something else in a cheapish price bracket that’s similar that anyone knows of? Just looking for modulated reverb not shimmer or spring or that stuff so those extras don’t interest me...

Hi all! New to this thread and I love it!
I'm trying to start an ambient thing, this is the current board (there's the Drone Thing but I use it also with bass). As soon as I decide which pedals will pass from the main board to the ambient one, I'll upgrade. I will add a volume pedal for sure, cheers!
Now I'll keep scrolling the old posts

Keeping my Nemesis, but have an Empress reverb on the way, so the Ventris is up for sale (no problem with it, just want to try something else because I'm nuts. The combo is quite killer). Also ordered an Enzo on impulse today. The Hologram Dream Sequence shows up tomorrow. You all are a bad influence. Thank you.

I've started playing around with the synth voices built into the ZOIA. Not bad. I'm playing/sequencing it with the Medusa's grid and it seems to work well. The pitch bend functions (x/y/z axis) don't seem to do anything to the ZOIA's presets, but I may need to find the "mod wheel" receiver on the ZOIA for that to work. I'm impressed.

I was able to do a crude "switch" of presets where ZOIA had a synth patch receiving midi, and then I scrolled to an effect only patch with the same sequence from the Medusa. The first ZOIA patch doesn't pass audio, so you only get the ZOIA sound, but when you switch to the second patch the Medusa sound comes through and the ZOIA effects start and the ZOIA synth stops. I could see programming MIDI changes to handle these on-the-fly switches. Sadly, I didn't create anything musically interesting, so no sample of this behavior.
