wow that's better than new

Here's a photo of a burned-up B15NF that I bought really cheap last summer. Notice the hole burned in the printed circuit board. I bought it as a project piece to try to learn something about tube amps, particularly the old B15N's.

I rebuilt it as a slightly modified B15NC:

Hmmm... I wonder if there is a way to disable that LED by the tube. I always thought that was a really cheesy gimmick.

Yeah I usually feel that way about hybrids....

The tool is called Pliers! Just grab and pull fast.....

man im about to get my terror bass 1000 soon which i will post a pic of the guts for you guys, but when i see the ultra cool vintage wiring of the guts of those beautiful vintage ampegs and sunn amps and such it makes me think how cold alot of the process has become all of the love and pride goes into designing these awesome pieces of kit these days, not the construction makes me sad especially when i see those little pieces of post world war 2 britain in the old soundcity and hiwatt amps. man this is a cool thread all of these beefy all valve amps are giving me GAS!!!! haha good stuff guys.

Finally got a chance to date it. The pots all code to Nov 64 through January 65 so it's definitely an early 65. The schematic is a little dirty, almost looks like it got wet at one point, but she's running fine now so I guess nothing to be concerned about.

Had the cover off today so figured I would take a photo... Its been in my garage for years.
Its a early 1990s first generation Ampeg SVT3 non-pro.
200 watts @ 8
350 watts @ 4
Sounds louder though. 3 x 12ax7s in Pre amp and Bipolar transistors output.

Thought I would blow the dust out of my sunn/fender 1200s and remembered seeing a thread here along these lines.
Note the the "mods" done at last service as recommended by fender...yuk ! big blobs of rubbery sealant and plastic sticks stuck and screwed to various parts...Nice job I guess if it looked like it had the potential to vibrate it got Glued !

that's very common practice, and generally a good thing. anti-vibration damping.
Takes the vibrational stress of solder joints, keeps vibrational noise down, and keeps parts from coming loose and breaking.
