Notice the LED's behind the tubes? those are there to light up the tube to make it look like they are doing anything.

Well, the tubes in the Streamliner are certainly doing something (six things, I believe), but man, I do hate it when manufacturers put cheesy LEDs behind/around their tubes. To me, the natural glow of a preamp or power tube is a beautiful thing, and the LEDs just ruin the effect, look gaudy, and make me feel like the manufacturer is trying to put something over on me.
But that's just me. Maybe LEDs give some folks wood.
Here's the Weber AB200 that I built last year:
Single channel preamp with 2 12AX7B feeds a class A EL34 -> interstage transformer/phase splitter -> 6 KT88 class AB.
Individual bias adjustment for each KT88.

Had the cover off today so figured I would take a photo... Its been in my garage for years.
Its a early 1990s first generation Ampeg SVT3 non-pro.
200 watts @ 8
350 watts @ 4
Sounds louder though. 3 x 12ax7s in Pre amp and Bipolar transistors output.
My first "big" amp! I ran it through an SVR-215. I learned a lot about the effects of tubes and swapping opamps on that old thing. I was in high-school when I got it and played it a lot. Kinda wish I had another now that I'm a full-fledged EE-degree'd geek and know what I'm doing with 'em. Not that I'd do anything with it, but for old time's sake.
It was a beast, though! I mean it weighed about 40lb, I think... My whole SVR-215 w/SVT-III was about 130+lb - and I had to lug it up/down stairs and load it into my itty-bitty Subaru hatch-back... Good times!

Originally a guitar combo, but the amp sounds pretty nice with bass and has plenty of power. I needed a top for rehearsals, so I converted it.
Left out the reverb unit so it won't be confused with a guitar amp
Prior to conversion:
The saying that old Peaveys are built like tanks is definitely true!
Engineer with OCD? I've never seen a PCB as neatly populated as this one:
It's a little on the noisey side. Opamps are 4558s and thankfully socketed. Thinking of swapping them for TL072s. Good idea?
Note the nice particle board finish:

looks led bias'd don't think there'd be any point lighting the up when you can't see them

Hello everybody! this is my first post(ok, second) in talkbass. Excuse my poor english, please. I want to show you a pair of vintage spanish tube amps of the brand Sinmarc, it means literally no-brand or without-brand. All the models of this brand are fender copies (bassman in this case), adapted to EL34.
This is the B-2090-C

An this is the big one, Sinmarc B-2280-C, is supposed to be 100watter, but the high current pushes the El34s to maybe 150wats. The new production tubes barely hold this beast.
this one have been lost for seven years, my brother lend it to the tech and forget about it. Mind the new resistors and the poor wire job in the left part, the old resistors burnt it away

The power amp tubes I don´t remember the brand but are all originals except the brown base one, thats a sovtek. The preamp are philips, all original, about 40 years old.

the two on top of a Sinmarc 4x12". Its suposed to be a guitar cab, but it holds fine the B2090 full volume, and the B2280 at 3/4.
