Yes, that's an EV B115M and on top of that a MusicMan 115RH. Everything is pretty old in that pic, except the amp top right. I'm old and useless too, that gear fits me perfectly.
The Isovent sounds alright. I currently use it full range, together with the other rigs, in a wet - dry/sub - wet setup. (Yes everything on at once).
When using it on its own, it sounded better bi-amped to my ears. (I had a Marshall 3540 IBS).
No bombs or other weird stuff happening though, whatever amp/bass I used or room it was in.
37 pages, what a waste of *%$@ing time. I only followed it to find out why the damned thing had the resonance.
I've never "Ignored" anyone on TB but you @Nicholas Orick are pretty close to being the first just so I don't waste anymore of my life reading dumb ass threads.

Probably the cabinet. Anyway the Isovent is ReWired, I only got on here to ask advise, some gave worthwhile advise, and others like you only dumbass comments.
Are you upset?
I don't really give a damn.
I got worthwhile advise, met some new people, and learned something from this experience.
One has to accept some of these older cabinets aren't perfect.
It's just the way it is.
I will just use more modern cabs when I want more of a prefectly flat response.

Anyway I think the Isovent is a cool cabinet, just have to dial out the F Bomb Wolftone a little bit, and I will make a posting after I get home and switch out the Mesa for the GK.

I don't know you and couldn't care less about a 135 lbs cab, I was just interested to find out why it was resonating.
If you look at my sig you might notice that I do use modern cabs, not so much for the flat response but more because if I didn't I wouldn't be able to gig as my shoulders are shot from 50 years of schlepping heavy cabs.
I've never knowingly Cheerios and you don't know me so I fail to see how you could possibly know my outlook on life.
If I came across as having a bad attitude then I apologise because that was not my intent. I was genuinely interested in why a cab would have a such a resonance hence my following it for 37 pages.

A Peavey TNT-130 was the only amp I ever regretted buying.
Actually, no, there was the Peavey MicroBass, too, but that was for a completely different purpose. Still regrettable.

Okay swapped the Mesa for the GK, futzed with the dials, and I wasn't impressed.
Later my wife and I did a listening test, and with all settings at the 12 Oclock, we tried various pieces of gear, but with the Isovent, the F Bomb Wolftone was present in the Mesa, GK, and Ampeg.
I then tested dialing a good sound with each, the GK, Mesa, and Ampeg, and found the Ampeg could dial out the F Bomb the best, while dialing in a good strong sound, she liked the Mesa best, and I liked the Ampeg best.
Afterwards, I reconnected the Mesa, futzed with it, and dialed in a good sound via the Mesa. Because the Isovent tends to be a little intense via the 210s, since I am NOT Bi-Amping at this point, I rolled off the Mids via my fretless six' onboard EQ, and this premitted me to dial in a fairly good balanced sound via the Mesa.
I am very satisfied with how the Mesa is sounding.
To my mind the Ampeg SVP did the best, but I am NOT going to go burning over a thousand watts while practicing, and since the Mesa did get a good sound, I will probably stick to using the Mesa for the time being.
Probably later on I will try the Rolls RPQ option, but for now I have other things pressing to attend to financially, so I am in no rush to get the Rolls RPQ at this point.
The Mesa is doing well enough as it is.
Maybe down the road I will get a Crown Digital Amplifier, or do something crazy like getting two Ampeg PF amplifiers for a double decker system for Bi-Amping, or maybe maybe maybe, but for now the Mesa has a good dialed in sound, and I am good with it for now.
What is causing the F Bomb?
Probably the Resonant Frequency of the cabinet, maybe the Fs Value of these speaker cones, maybe a combination of the two. Since we are now dealing with straight wiring with No Circuitry, this rules out circuitry, and since the F Bomb prevails through three different amplifiers, and with two different basses, then probably the problem is with the cabinet.
Anyway I am happy with this Odd Oddity called the Isovent, and I am just going to keep it around the house, and have fun practicing through it.
Maybe I will do a gig or two with it but actually I am disinclined to move it very much.
Oh and by the way, if anybody doesn't like this thread, they are Free to get off of it.
I am NOT doing anything with this thread for a while.
And you don't tell me what to do.

I tend to enjoy most of the threads on Talk Bass, TB has been very helpful when I want to know something fast, and I am disinclined to take a mean spirited attitude on this site.
What's the point.
I just enjoy reading up on what people think and know and who needs the meanspirited crap?!
For example there is a long running Preamp/Di thread going, and while I put my post in on liking the MXR Bass DI, mostly I just read through it to hear what people like and are experiencing.
No need to get upset about anything.
Just take in the reviews and learn something.
To me it is all in Good Fun.
