After years (decades?) of running the company into the ground, ruining the products and Ampeg's reputation, LOUD finally sells the company off..............

It may take a while but I might consider an Ampeg product, once again.

    Two parallel threads!

    Again, I hope it's true.

I have sold everything musical Yamaha makes. Their quality control is THE BEST.

This is fantastic news, if true.

Yamaha (like Korg and Roland and Ibanez) is a company that “gets it” when it comes to music products and musicians.

    I’m chuffed.

"This is fantastic news, if true."

The link in the first post leads directly to Ampeg's site where they say "We are pleased to announce that we are now a part of the Yamaha Guitar Group family."

There's no need for doubt or disbelief in this case.

What kind of changes do you think there will be? I really hope some good stuff comes out in the future.

This is good news! I had thought that Behringer would scoop up the greasy remains, and put out even worse made in China product. With Yamaha there is some hope.
  19. Sounds like good news.

What would be really cool is an MIJ SVT. I can dream, right?
