here is a video i just posted testing out my new ampeg pf - 500 amp and pf - 210 he cabinet , the cabinet is daisy chained to my yorkville xc 410 cabinet ( live rig ) , jamming to Default's "Deny" .. recorded with my Q3HD video camera ... i tell ya this amp and cab rock !!! and its plenty loud ! i have read here that it takes a little while for the pf115 to break in. i have to say after a few months, mine has broken in very nicely. it used to break up a little at higher volumes but now it doesn't. in fact you can get it quite loud. it has such a warm and sweet tone to it. if you have one and thinking about sending it back because it breaks up easy, just give it some time. it will break in.
Shouldn't take months to break a speaker in. Mine was all farts, and so it went back. We'll see what the replacement sounds like when it arrives. But there's no way mine could cop what Ed Friedland does here BassGuitarMag's Channel - YouTube at 2:10-2:35
Finally played a pf500 and a micro vr yesterday.
Sounded warmer than I expected. Now I just need to decide what will work best for practice and small gigs. My v4b will still be my main amp so really screaming volume isn't an issue.

Hard to go wrong with either. PF350 is also a good wattage compromise between the two as well.

Finally got a chance to listen here at home instead of on my BB. As you can imagine the stock speaker on the BB is somewhat lacking in bass response.

your right. it shouldn't take that long to break in. but i only have probably 15 to 20hrs on the cab. i don't use it that much because all my gigs right now require me to use my stack or an 8x10. i am going to use it in the studio here in the next couple of weeks.

IMO "all farts" to me means bad speaker or crossover.
As far as break-in. I think it's like chicken soup, it can't hurt.
For over 35 years, I've bought new cabs and just took them out and gigged without giving a crap about any break-in issues. They either worked or they didn't. Did they sound better after 30 or so hours on them? Honestly, I couldn't tell a big difference but they probably did loosen up a bit. My current cabs are Hartke HyDrive HX-115's. One was new in box, the other was the floor model. I can't hear any discernible difference between the two. I did own an Avatar B410 NEO that sounded lower after getting a few hours on it but I can't say it was any louder. That is the only cab I've owned where I could tell that it loosened up after a few hours playtime.
I'm guessing your new cab will sound great.

my speakers only fart a bit if i knowingly push them too hard. but if i back off the gain and turn the compression up to say 9oclock. they round out better. the gain section is very hot in the 500 so if you have an active bass. its probably best to eiheer turn down the gain knob. or.. push in the -15db pad. i mean, thats whats its for. on passive basses i have yet to get the speakers to "fart"

I agree that it shouldn't take months to break in. Some cabs I can hear a "break in". And some I can't. This one I can for sure hear a difference. Which I'm glad.
