Ampeg Serial Number Date Code

I’m very confused. My Ampeg serial number for my SVT CL is SVTCLAP11330029. Everything I’m reading says the “A” should be the country code, but I don’t know what A means. From what I understand, D stands for “domestic” or “American”. So what does A mean?

I think you have one from post-SLM days, no? Does it say it's made by LOUD and give a country of manufacture? LOUD changed the serial number scheme to a more confusing one that varies wildly. So if it's made by LOUD, the likely meaning for the A is 2008, as the code goes A: 2008, B: 2009, etc. And they couldn't have worked up to P before then, so my educated guess is 2008.

Just adding more legs to this thread, tried to decode it myself but the data sheet has more digits then the serial# I have on my 6x10. Anyone know the year of this cab?

It's a little tough to decipher LOUD serials because the date never was in the same place on different models. But I think it's 2017. If you can get the guy to take off the lid and see if the motherboard is Rev H or better, then it is. If not, don't get it.
