You need a case with at least 10.5 inches from front mounting point to rear of case. My 7 is mounted in a carvin SV-2 case which is 12.5 inches deep.while we are on the subject of rack cases can someone tell me how deep the 7pro is? it doesnt look like the BIG 19" deep that the 4 pro is....i am getting one this week and i wanna know which road case i gotta make some space in....thanks i will be requesting a number real soon.......
... and, how's it performing? ?did you notice a change/improvement?
Curious - did he use a socket on yours?
Thank You Sir !! I was going to post exactly what you said but i was "ascared" of getting yelled at.If this is sarcasm or an attempt to be witty, it's pretty much impossible to tell at this point, so I'll bite.
That switch is an input pad/attenuator that reduces the strength of the input signal by roughly 15 decibels (dB). It's commonly used to prevent signal clipping from basses with hot onboard preamps.
The dB acronym has nothing to do with Dolby Labs or any of their old "noise reduction" technologies. It is a measure of relative signal level.

Don't recall seeing any in mine (though I don't keep it at home and I don't often open it up), but it won't hurt anything. Looks like it's there as a shock mount for the caps more than anything.my SVT-7 PRO gut shot ...
a little late to the dance , but does this look right ?
sounds great , but all that silicone just seems strange ...

Mine is just sitting in a closet in a flight case since I got a CL and then another CL. Anyone want to buy it, PM me.
I heard people saying the difference was almost impossible to hear. So they ended up using the 7 Pro 90% of the time.Mine is just sitting in a closet in a flight case since I got a CL and then another CL. Anyone want to buy it, PM me.
I've owned an SVT 4 Pro for many many years and loved it. Does the 7 pro sounds just like the 4 pro or are their any noticable diferences?Killer little amp.
I do but the 7 is really great.Interesting. You like the CL that much better?
4 Pro is tighter while the 7 Pro has a little sag to the sound, like a tube amp being pushed not quite to the distortion point but just enough to give it a little light sag.I've owned an SVT 4 Pro for many many years and loved it. To me it feels more present and organic. The seven is almost there and for the price, it is a great value. What's the main thing to you that makes you enjoy the CL better?
