Hello all. Here is a photo of my V4/SVT410e.
I want to give a tip to those of you that do not already know - the '80's SVT 410e and SVT18e were wider and less deep then the newer models (mine is an '87).
They look and sound great with a V4 - with guitar or bass.
I used the modern A.V. grill cloth and some satin black spray paint to make the grill match.
There is one on Ebay right now if you are in the Cleveland, Georgia(?) area (the seller states he/she won't ship)http://www.ebay.com/itm/180999069497?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649:.
The first cabinet that I used with my old V4B - before I got the SVT cab - was a B40. Didn't have the impact of the SVT cab of course, but I recall it sounded pretty darn good. Also, it matched up width wise with the head.
Anybody using a B40?
Eric, you got me thinking seeing your V4 + sideways SVT18E.
So I checked on the Ampeg website, and sure enough, the current SVT410HE has almost the exact same dimensions as my '87 - turned on IT's side.
How much would you guys pay for a master volume VT-22 that is in really excellent shape. Still in combo form. Let's assume it has not been recapped. Let's assume you are very determined to get one of these V-Ampegs. How much would be too much to pay? I'd probably need to chop it down to a head, anyway. Two fifteens probably wouldn't fit into the combo cab. ( wink )
Yup! I love the B-40 with the V-4B.![]()
