since theres no notch there on the solid shafts what exactly does the side adjustment screw do for it? just keeps it straight? id assume thats all it can do..correct me if im wrong.
The screw is to hold it to the pot, so it'll turn and not fall off.
The knobs with set screw are not actually ment to be used with split shafts at all, the should only take push ons, but most do it anyway, myself included, if needs be.
but it dosent seem like it has anything to grip onto to stop it from spinning unles youre just supposed to crank the screw like all hell and force the screw to dimple the shaft
hey dark. i got solid shafts and barrel knobs with side adjustment screws so i did good right?

YOU! YOURE RESPONSIBLE!credit where credit is due. sorry bout the mix up. i will have to blame you for the brutal GAS pains. but much love for the inspiration

haha well i gave myself gas now! i am searching for a used one of these cuz if yours turns out as sweet as i think it will i will have to have one.
plus i had the cv 50's p and 60's j but have not had the 60s p yet![]()
just bumped into a used one for $200 and i cant remember where...coulda saved me some $$$ if i remember ill shoot ya a PM
Q... Where did you order the pickguard from?
Good luck on the mods. Looks cool so far.
the solid white came on it..the pearloid i got from a tber

Hmm, don't worry too much on the pickguard, the Pearloid Pickguard will definitely look awesome too, I myself sometimes wonder how it looks like with a tortoise pickguard, but they cost like 50 bucks, so not a good investment and besides, I HATE to have spares in my room.
Keep the Pearloid I say!![]()
i tried to photoshop a tortoise on the 60s CV, but i didn't find good enough pictures.
but i think it will look killer. here some pics of an lakland posted in the LOG #30
