The screw is to hold it to the pot, so it'll turn and not fall off.

The knobs with set screw are not actually ment to be used with split shafts at all, the should only take push ons, but most do it anyway, myself included, if needs be.

but it dosent seem like it has anything to grip onto to stop it from spinning unles youre just supposed to crank the screw like all hell and force the screw to dimple the shaft

Well, you tighten it fairly tight, but not that hard, you'll only strip the screw, pressure holds it all in place, its not like you're gonna be rolling the knob super hard.

My solid shafts were shipped yesterday, and my '62 pickup on saturday.
A friend of mine has a nice hobby... soldering! So he's gonna help me out with it. :)

I switched the Oreo pickguard with a Fender '62 Oreo pickguard, because the original one was damaged. (factory issue, but I saw it too late)
I first went for the mint coloured one, but I changed my mind at the last minute and just bought the white one, I also noticed that the Fenders black line is a little bit more smaller. (think ''symmetrical'') :smug:

haha well i gave myself gas now! i am searching for a used one of these cuz if yours turns out as sweet as i think it will i will have to have one.


plus i had the cv 50's p and 60's j but have not had the 60s p yet:hyper:

WOW RAMA! theyre Beautiful..now im im on the hunt for those tuners.

its official i will be purchasing a neck THIS WEEK just gotta find that perfect one.

Knobs came in ill be wiring up the pots in the next couple days. aint they pretty?

i tried to photoshop a tortoise on the 60s CV, but i didn't find good enough pictures.
