a planet that has been colonized but its basicly crap so its all a big desert, kind of a "western" if you will

the lead character Vash has a bounty on his head of 50 Billion double dollars for supposedly destroying an entire city and all its inhabitants, starts at really fun and light hearted with the plots being brought to a close at the end of every episode, but as the history of vash surfaces a really deep and compelling story arc surfaces and you just cant quit watching..

Right? No spoilers, though. I had some sunglasses that were like Vash's, but they were gold plated on the rims. I ended up selling them at a convention to get a bit more cash for other stuff. Lol.

I just recently watched Clannad and Clannad:After story.

I have to say that I found Clannad:After story one of the more confusing Anime I have seen in a while. Once I looked it up on an Anime forum where they were discussing the story line it all fell into place.

It is like "Groundhog Day", though it doesn't repeat a day but years.

Trigun is a classic anime. It's just an overall good show, so it definitely lends itself to the general public. I got into Trigun and Bebop back when Adult Swim used to play them.

GunXSword is also very similar to those.

BECK (Mongolian Chop Squad) is one I have to mention around here. The best anime that pertains to music that I've watched. I love the music as well, the soundtrack rocks.

As far as I've ever known, Choke was only a book. They also made it into a movie, but I refused to even see it after my roommate told me how horrible it was.

I just recently finished up School Rumble seasons 1 and 2. Freaking hilarious!! I really liked it. Has to be in my top 5.
I've been getting into the slice of life stuff a lot lately.
