Another P vs. J analogy!

No.

Ps have one humbucking pickup, a more "square" body, and less neck taper.

Js have two single coil pickups in parallel, a more angled body, and more neck taper.

Both have knobs...as do amps. Knobs do things when people turn them.

If forced analogies are needed to process that, then you are not a "genius."

Ok my turn!
Yes you are wrong about the Queen for she is a definite dog fan. We have established that.
The real mistake is in the description of what bass is Canine and what bass is Feline.

The king of the Jungle is a Lion, does one thing and does it very well. Welcome to the p bass. Definitely Feline.

A Dog does every thing and does it very well. Welcome to the J bass.
Definitely Canine.

This also proves that a P bass can rip your J basses lips off.
In other words don’t mess with the king!

Perfectly acceptable if you live in the tropics.

Never thought to try this combination, but it can't be worse than some stuff I've consumed. A little sugary for my tastes probably.
When I lived in Toronto, pizza with pineapple was a perfectly acceptable combination; the pizza places called it "Hawaiian Pizza." Marshmallow fluff was popular when I was a young chap in the '60s. I found it a bit too sweet.

A P is more like a cat - It's going to do what it wants despite the situation, either rubbing your leg (too barky) or sitting in the corner (too dark) .

A J is like a dog - You can give it basic commands -
Heel (turn down bridge pickup)
Sit (turn down tone knob)
Roll Over (bridge pickup only)
Fetch (all knobs maxed)

I came up with this genius one this morning :
Ps are dogs, and Js are cats!
Dogs are always there for you. Cats are more mysterious and fickle.
Cats are for people who like subtlety and a certain sleek aloofness. Dogs are for people who appreciate having a faithful friend who always greets you happily and honestly when you get home, no matter how long you've been away, or what time of day it is.
If you need someone to jump through a glass door and drag you out of a burning building, you need a dog, not a cat.
If you're hosting the Queen of England at your house, and want to impress, you need a cat (a beautifully groomed Persian, wearing a diamond encrusted collar and lounging on a purple satin cushion), not a dog.
Whaddaya think?? Make sense? :)

My analogy is that a P is like a bass whereas a J is like a bass.

Damn nobody knows how to have fun anymore..I enjoy reading P and J posts but I guess people here have no qualms on voicing their frustration. They just shouldnt even comment imho..

Poutine is an acceptable pizza topping up there, too... Canada, eh?
I never heard of that, but I lived in a different part of Canada. Here in Europe, though:
