Any one here make it to pro?

Yeah, but still....Sha na na in general was a undervalued band. To me, they would have been the only good thing besides the who and hendrix at woodstock.

Just wished they hadn't been so obviously pressed for time during that historical performance...you can tell because "at the hop" is WAY too fast.

Someone must have told them before they went on "listen guys, this is 100% a hippy audience. You guys are rockers. We need to get you on and off in 8 minutes"......
;) I think they did a little longer than that but I could see that. That and nerves...that was one of their very first gigs.

Well...thanks!

I have a feeling you really paid to see another guy in the band play, though. :D

Under duress I will admit that probably was my original impetus...but nearly 30 some odd years later, I actually remember you more than him from that gig! What was that EUB you were playing?

Were you ever through Cincy?

No, my Ohio tours only ever took me to Cleveland and Canfield.

Roy,

Lookin' good on the Kiss This video!!

Thanks, we shot that at The Ritz in Manhattan in 1988. JimmyM will be happy to note that my rental backline for the shoot was 2 SVT tops and 4 cabinets. It was so loud it would even make leather pants flap in the breeze!

What's "Kiss This video"? Does it involve Kiss as in the band Gene Simmons is part of or not?

"Kiss This" was the first single for the Joanna Dean album Misbehavin' (Polygram). This is the second video we shot for it (the first was shot at Mack Sennett Soundstage in LA-it's somewhere on Youtube as well). This was shot at The Ritz in New York. Gene and Kiss had nothing to do with the band although they may have been on Polygram at that time as well. That's all my own hair, believe it or not! Lotsa White Rain hairspray on that shoot! The bass is a 1985 Tobias Basic 5 String.

Speaking of Johnny A.

Trujillo is a beast. He makes the bass his slave, for lack of a another vulgar word.

BTW Johnny A has some mean recorded tones. Don't remember seeing Staind live, but always loved hearing them come on popular radio. Bass always was a driving force in the songs I heard.

thank you ! and yes jimmyM is famous in my book. he gives consistant levelheaded advice and played with bowzer bow bow bow

Aw, thanks, Johnny! I call it "being about as close to famous as you can get without the fame or the money ;) " But it's very cool to get props from someone as talented as you, bro, and I appreciate it.
