Not a Schecter owner, but I have a lot of respect for the brand. I've seen tons of gigging bassists using Stiletto Studios over my decade of gigging experience.
I do have a question about the Stiletto basses, though, particularly 5-strings, and I figured this would be a good thread to ask. I'm curious how Stiletto 5-strings balance standing on a strap. Some 35" scale 5ers I've played balanced more horizontally and first position felt like a mile away. On the other hand, there have been some 35" scale 5ers whose necks naturally hang more vertically making first position and the money notes less of a reach. Heck, I've even played some 34" scale basses with a more "horizontal" balance and first position feeling a mile away.
So I'm curious given the body shape and offset strap button (like Spectors) what Stiletto 5 balance is like. Does the neck tilt more vertical? Does first position feel like a mile away to you?
