Any Schecter owners out there?

Schecter Banshee Bass in Carbon Silver arrives tomorrow.

I never thought I’d like Schecter as they aren’t “known” for basses, but there was a diamond series stiletto at guitar center. Active, long scale, with P style neck pickups and m style bridge pickups. I was playing it, trying out other basses (some twice the price) and kept going back to it. The tone, the smoothness, feel of neck (matte finish gives it a smooth slide). Just everything. I walked out of there with it. Really think it’s a sick bass.

I feel the same way about my Schecter Stiletto Studio 5 string. It sounds and feels good.

Hi guys,

In my search for a new P bass I've just stumbled upon some Schecter basses that look really, really hot. I've found a P-4 and a Model T Session bass. I'm really trying to understand why are they not more popular, especially in that price range for a P/PJ bass. I can't seem to find much covers/reviews/anything relevant really for those. The last 'professional' video done on the Model T session is from about 4 years ago... I've only searched the forum and people seem to be really pleased with them so I assume they are good instruments (as Schecters usually are). Anyone here got one of those? If so, do you have any sort of review that you may want to share? Maybe some pros and cons? I'm looking for something that can go with both the classy Motown vibes and more modern stuff and I'm really digging the look of the Model T.

I own a Schecter Stiletto Session. It doesn't look "metal" or "TRVE BRVTAL DEATH" but it plays like a dream and works perfectly well for the jazz and fusion I play.

In general you most likely will not see a whole lot of “fanfare” for Schecter Basses, and that’s a shame. Excellent value for the money, and are well built for sure. I don’t own any of the Models you are interested in, but don’t see why one of those would not work for you. I am a Stiletto “junkie”. I have two 5 Elites, a Six Custom, a Six Studio, and an 8 Studio. All are good and play well. If I personally were chasing the four string thing here, I would look for a Stiletto Elite 4, or a Custom 4. Nothing at all wrong with what you have in mind, just some ideas.

I’ve got a Schecter Raiden Special-4 that I’ve had since 2014. Passive dual-humbucker bass V/V/T with push-pull switching on the tone knob for single coil or humbuckers. It’s currently wearing La Bella White Nylon Tapes and I hardly ever play it. Not a bad bass by any means but I greatly prefer my VM Fretless Jazz.

I just picked up a Schecter guitar Research Limited-Edition Stiletto studio-5 bass in transparent purple burst (say that 5 times fast). The narrow string spacing compared to my Cort 5ver is an adjustment but I'm loving it.

Very happy with them.

Punchy and loud.

The 210 doesn’t get as low as the 410, but that is to be expected.

When my buddy comes over and starts hitting the drums, I plug both cabs into my head for a 610 stack.

Works great then.

Plus they look badass!

I'll give a second vote for Hartke. Have a 410XL with HA2500 amp around 2010. The metal cones sound fantastic. Hydrive units sounded better and are nearly 20 pounds lighter, but cost as much as my amp and cab for just the cab. I was in college and had already increased my budget to get what I liked more.

Hartke units were also way lighter and reasonably smaller than some of the other cabs I saw. Don't underestimate the importance of lugging it around and fitting it in a car.

I mean...they are wootens brand of choice. My thing is I play rock/hard rock/funk rock, so not sure if they work well for that. Been eying dark glass amp lately.

So far - so good. Loving this Schecter Stilleto Studio 4 Bass. Just changed to LaBella Low tension Flat wounds. Moving up from an Ibanez Mikro Bass. I still have it.
