I have a 2011 Diamond P first gen. The later ones were active. Monster double humbucker at the bridge puts it over the top! Navy metallic with a black PG, chrome hardware including a massive chrome bridge that either top loads or strings through. If you paid me double for it I'd turn you down. It's a beast. I am interested in a Rick, as I play a lot of rock, hard rock, but I do slap at times too. Not sure how a 4001 would do with that, but my Stealth is a nice balance. Do Ricks get a good slap tone? If so might be my next bass.

Having it for a while now getting that worn look, considering trying to get some of the tough coating off so it will wear quicker. With the poly coat it is going relatively slowly hahahah.

I don't know why it took me so long to own a Schecter. I had tried a few and always loved their 5ers' skinny fast necks and impeccable craft. Considered a Model T Session 5 for some time (impossible to get used and very expensive to get new 'round here) and 13 months ago I finally pulled the trigger on a CV-5 that ended my 20 year quest for the perfect "Fender killer" 5er (I'm a Stingray5 guy and been trading basses forever around that idea). The CV-5 blows anything I've had before (Fender Am Dlx P5, Maruszczyk Jake 5a+, many Yammie BBs and some 2 pickup Ibby ATKs, amongst others) out of the water. Also doesn't feel, play or sound a cent cheaper than my USA Stingray5s. Schecter is probably the first thing I'm considering next time I'm shopping for a bass.

Just played my Stiletto Elite 5 tonight, which I had swapped in Bart pups and the 3 band Bart preamp. Really like how this bass sounds, the mods really improved the sound. It would be one I'll keep just based on the sound alone, it's a bonus that it plays and looks great too.

I never thought I’d like Schecter as they aren’t “known” for basses, but there was a diamond series stiletto at guitar center. Active, long scale, with P style neck pickups and m style bridge pickups. I was playing it, trying out other basses (some twice the price) and kept going back to it. The tone, the smoothness, feel of neck (matte finish gives it a smooth slide). Just everything. I walked out of there with it. Really think it’s a sick bass.
