Are people big fans of classic American cars over in Europe? Are they considered exotic? I grew up in a family that was into 60s European sports cars and we sort of looked at American cars as ho-hum. Took them for granted. I've only gotten into muscle cars over the past few years because my buddies are obsessive about them and taught me a lot.

I don't think they are considered as exotic. They are considered as big, beautiful, rare and a sign of old (better?) times.

Must be the only car show I've ever seen that didn't have a 69 Camaro and a 70 Chevelle in it. Not that I object to that..... it's a refreshing change of pace.
It was nice to see an ElCamino and a Ranchero in those pics.
In my opinion, a full-dress 1959 El Camino is one of the coolest cars ever made.
That's what I'm talking about. I'm a VW guy as well. I have a '62 street car and a my avatar is my '69.

Well, I just picked up another Camaro. Actually, I owned this one 15 years ago and sold it to a friend that had visions of a show car with it. After a few failed attempts at painting it, he lost interest in in and sold it back to me for less than he paid for it. for those interested, it's a 79 Z/28, 350 engine, TH350 trans, 4.10 geared 12 bolt rear and it runs 12's in the quarter mile. In the 15 years my friend owned it he put 0 miles on it and never titled it, so it's still in my name.
