Haha! Yeah, that was a typo. Our engine guy owns a car on the Formula V car circuit. He's too old to race it himself but he does all the work.

You, my friend (and your dad) are lucky people!

You probably wouldn't be amazed to hear it, but everyone in your dad's age range (me included) probably has a list of cars that they have owned and would LOVE to have kept - but had no place to store them.

My list of cars owned (and family cars) and sold includes:

1950 Studebaker Champion Convertible
1958 Fiat 1200 Roadster
1959 Ford 4-door (powder blue and white)
1963 Pontiac Grand Prix
1966 Pontiac GTO
1970 Datsun 240Z (white with rare blue interior combo)
1977 Chevy Monza Spyder V8

All gone now. I do know where the Monza is -with a collector who lives near Medford, OR.

Aw, the 240Z is one of my favorite cars. I see a lot of them lurking unlicensed in people's garages.

Nice video. Thanks for posting as I am into older Euro sports cars. Also enjoyed looking at a few of the boats in the harbor background. I was surprised to see more that a dozen Cobra's in the show.
Only noticed one Opel GT. Thought there would have been several at a show that big. Again, thanks for posting as I felt like I was there.

I'd love to see replica cars made of the '39-'46 ford coupes but with modern internals (2.5L I4's, new transmissions, LED lights, and of course modern seatbelts)... maybe upsized a little to account for the new engines. Just something about car styling in those days. They had class (even if their collision safety was a joke).
