Anyone on TB know any famous musicians?

I play with various B list musicians from bands like Honeymoon Suite, Moxy, BTO, Downchild Blues Band, etc. every once in a while.

One of my wife's best friends is related to Geddy Lee so I have met him. We aren't close by any stretch, but I have drank wine with him at a wine dinner.

I don't get excited about these guys as I likely make more $$$ than all of the at my day job (except Geddy obviously). They are almost all just normal folks.

I turned the bassist of Hedley on to Sadowsky as well, which is pretty cool as he is using them a lot now.

My boss is friends with Bono. THAT is worthy of being excited over though.

I'm obviously in the wrong line of work.

I've jammed once or twice with Landphil of Municipal Waste.

Oh, and I have a great uncle who is an Elvis impersonator. XD

Without dropping names, my wife is close kin to more than a few Nashville studio aces, and several old school country stars. We have never made serious contact with any of them. One of the girls in our band has deep roots in the Bluegrass scene. She will end up making a name for herself, sweet personality, good looks, plays several instruments well, and a great singer/songwriter. So when her 15 minutes comes, I can say I was there when she was 16 and wet behind the ears. She's 22 now and just recorded her first solo CD.

I used to sell parts to Steve Perry for his yellow Corvette when I worked a Chevrolet in Van Nuys back in' 90. About a year later he was in for service, and dropped by the parts department where I was working. It was a slow day, overcast and dark. He just pops in and says" Hey Dane, how's it goin"? The other guys looked at me like "W-T-F ? I felt pretty cool the rest of the day.

A long, long time ago when I was 6 years old one of my best friends was Nick Hallam. In more recent years he's become better known as DJ The Head from Stereo MCs. However I haven't seen to him to speak to since 1977...

In the 90s I was nearly in a band with Zoe Bonham, daughter of John Bonham. I've still got her demo tape (which was fantastic) somewhere.

I did one gig playing guitar for Link Removed. He had a track on his current album of the time which featured sampled guitar, and thought it would be cool if he had a real guitarist to come on a play on this number which he did as an encore. I got the job through a mutual friend. It was good fun, but it did involve sitting backstage for 2 hours during his actual set waiting to come on and get my "5 minutes of fame".
