I have no idea, if it's Pre-Gibson. All I put in storage, was an AWSOME sounding, black bass, with an atrocious headstock. You'll ALL get a full gander, at Her, in a few days...
And... not a fan of Porsches, either. So, it would probably wind up stored, and forgotten, also. :laugh:

Based on the headstock picture displayed earlier the bass in question is likely a Renegade. It could also be a Killer B or Growler. The Renegade was the only one that had a black headstock with all white logo. The Growler and Killer B had some red in the logo. The Renegade and Growler was 100% a Gibson creation. There were a couple "pre-Gibson" Killer B's that Mike was prototyping but nearly all were Gibson made. Not that that makes all the difference. I personally like both the Killer B and the Growler is a very unique instrument. If this one in storage is one of the Killer B prototypes it would be a very cool and unique find. It could also possibly be an import Tobias that was distributed by Music Yo in the 90's/early 2000's. The plot thickens.

Take one of the other ones out and go to your local Fastenal (or good hardware store) to match up the thread size and head style. I've bought regular humbucking pole screws from McMaster-Carr before, you ought to be abe to find a suitable replacement.

Found some at Tru-Value. But... they're allen drive. How much of a difference will this make?

Yeah... I purchased 8.
I'll mess with it, Saturday.
I may just buy a Bartolini, replacement, if it changes much.
But... I like My instruments, "STOCK."

I'd give up My pre Fender Kubicki, NS-2A, 66 Precision, Sandberg VM-4, Orr, shall I go on...? Anything, IF I had to KEEP only ONE bass, on a desert island... even with no amp... My Sabre, is "HOME."

Ahh. Yours appears to be mother of pearl. When I was referring to all white logos I was talking about the decal versions which were used on Renegades. Some Killer B's and I believe all Growlers had decal logos that were white with some red.
