Anyone stuck in the midwestern blizzard?

We had 14" of nice fluffy snow early in the week and now it is -17 degrees in the North Cascades of Washington. The skiing is great!

I'm getting hypothermic just reading this thread! I'm north of SF in wine country, where it's a balmy 45F and raining. It snowed here back in February of last year, but nothing like what some of y'all are experiencing.

Just rain all day today here in the valley of Northern California. I wish for all to be well in the snowy parts experiencing this winter blast. . May the delivery and electricity gods be kind too.

I’m also in Iowa. FedEx was scheduled to deliver a bass yesterday but I don’t think they went out at all, can’t blame them. Now I just sit and worry about my bass sitting on a FedEx truck for 4 days with temps expected to get down to -20.

In the white mountains of NH. We had the warmest and wettest December on record. In January we are getting 2 big snow dumps a week, followed by 1-2” of rain and a day of 40-45 degrees. Really crazy weather.

I'm in Indiana which is considered part of the Midwest. We got a 1/4" of snow overnight and cold temps also blew in. The next week is supposed to be pretty cold with highs in the teens and lows in the single digits. Stay warm out there!

Stuck, and had a super high paying gig wiped out. I'm bummed, but it was the right call, as the roads in Nebraska are well and truly...wrecked.

Numerous power outages in the Milwaukee area. Although I have power, I just received notice that my power won’t be restored until this evening. Evidentially, some of my neighbors still don’t have power since yesterday afternoon/evening.

I’ll be stepping out into -20 F wind chill weather Sunday morning for two church services.

Seems like winter decided to show up this week!

I grew up in the Whites (Twin Mt) during the 60s and 70s and saw some crazy weather those years...I remember a 4' snow fall during the 60s...I lived in NH for over 65 years except for when I was in the Navy stationed in San Diego or the Mediterranean area back in the mid to late 70s. I moved to southern MO 2 years ago and don't regret it for a second. Sure, we get some crazy weather here sometimes but not the extended cold/snow season I got in NH. The older I get, the less I am able to handle the cold weather for very long.

I've never seen that much snow fall! The last impressive fall here was a 'thunder snow' in 2003, which dumped about sixteen inches and closed down the Columbia campus of the U of MO - a rarity.

It's 60 degrees in NYC, I thought it was spring when I walked my dog this morning haha. Days like this when I love living in a sub-tropical climate.

Here in eastern Iowa, we got dumped on Tuesday 9", plowed out Thursday, dumped on again Friday 12". Got plowed out this morning, and now temps are going subzero for the next four days. Nothing between here and the North Pole but a few snow fences. No gigs or jams for me anytime soon. Uh uh. Brer Bear he lay low.

I'm in New Berlin and our power was intermittent all through the night. It's been on today, but driving through New Berlin and Brookfield this morning, lots of stop lights and businesses without power. Only issue we have is Spectrum internet being out. And the never ending fight to reclaim the driveway.

I thought we were supposed to get it here outside St. Louis. Fickle Missouri weather changed its mind, says "Happy Halloween" instead.

I think were always right on the border of weather fronts, so it seems like it can go either way.

I’ll happily take the snow. What I have a problem with is the high winds and rain that Northern Vermont has been getting lately. Had several trees down and a widespread power outage. Flooding has also been an issue in several of the valleys.
