Are any of you interested in a eq tutorial ?

Pretty much this. You can use eq to push aspects of your tone but its main function is equalizing the frequencies in the space you are in. Its literally why it's there. Using corrective and creative EQ need to be addressed in different ways and have very different approaches.
EQ is still all about changing the tone that comes from the speakers. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no difference between "tone" and "EQ" in this context.

He doesn't actually have anything, that's why he's stringing people along.
Oh my bad. I'm sorry I had to work and asked a simple question from my phone and you feel I am "stringing things along". Sorry my work schedule doesnt fit your timeline.
When I have time to sit down and write things out in a comprehensive way so that everyone can understand it, I will.
Until then hopefully putting some space between this post and the tutorial will be sufficient enough to weed out most of the trolls and people that chimed in for no other reason than to try to get a laugh off someone genuinely trying to help.
This place is a poopie show. Trolls calling other people trolls. Go back under your bridge.

See? This is why people are reacting the way they are. You're online now and have taken time to talk about what you're going to do instead of doing it. You clearly have enough time to read this thread and post responses to people, but not enough time to actually do the thing you said you will do.

This isn't a "poopie show"....people are calling you on the fact that you keep saying you're going to do this thing, but then but then taking time that could have been used to actually do it (even a fraction) and instead talk about how you don't have time. Don't get mad at people when they point this out, prove them wrong and have the last laugh. Or (let me guess)...are you offended by responses and are now not going to share your secret?

You have this great "simple method"....let's hear it. My suggestion is don't post again until you can deliver on what you said you would do.

My confusion about “punch” comes from the fact that, every time I ask what someone means when they say “punch”, I get a different answer.
According to the Peavey Combo 300 instruction manual, their 'punch' control adds 8dB at 120Hz. Boosting at or near that center on other gear gives me similar results. This is one thing I learned very early on and it has stuck with me and been useful in every aspect of my playing from small rooms (ie my wife is out of the house what one knob do I turn to hear the sound I want) to larger (we are on a larger stage than we're used to and the drummer can't feel it enough for us to lock in).

To me, 'punch' is the uppermost lows or the lowermost low mids, depending on which controls on your gear lands you nearer. While word descriptions sometimes fail us, 'punch' the percussive lows, as a way to differentiate from percussive mids (the harder rock/metal P bass sound) or percussive highs ('bite' I guess).

In a lot of situations, 8db of punch is much more than many sound guys want to hear from me, so it's still only one colour on the palette I have to use. On other gear besides that Peavey, I typically set that knob around 2-3:00 on a para. It's almost always one of the first bands to be cut at the desk if I set it any higher.

on a semi-related note, I once came across a used 31 band EQ that had tape labels all across it for kick, snare, toms, each of the cymbals, as well as certain mics and other notes that weren't relevant. I wish I had bought it or at least taken a photo, to have as a reference now. I have more or less concluded anyone who tries to EQ me and the drums separately, it's going to sound bad. If you let us two play together it's going to come out much better and then you can work on the rest of the group. But I still wish I knew better to know what 'should' happen at the desk.

All that being said, I'd love to learn more about EQ in general but most specifically any guide can't cover 'only bass' it has to discuss where your overlaps are going to be.

Hey, give him some time to write it down! We are all here to hopefully learn something and trolling this thread won’t speed things up. There’s enough of us saying that we want the tutorial so just relax and wait for the answer.
But but having fun at someone else's expense is the TB way. :D

Uh oh, we made him mad, and now he has to punish us by withholding the amazing magical mystical EQ (NOT tone) secrets that he has to share with us!

No, you were just hoping to make a bigger deal out of something everyone probably already knows, or some pseudoscience silliness (or more likely a mix of both). Again, if you had something worthwhile, you would have summarized it by now. If that's not the case, go ahead and summarize your "methods" (should take less than a 1/3 of the cumulative time you've spent so far on posts in this thread) and then go off and make your video and come back with it. If there's merit there, I'm sure it will be well received. I like learning stuff twice as much as the next guy, but I'm doubtful there's anything there based on the approach you've taken so far. If you believe in it, telling us what it is won't diminish interest in a video (if anything it will do the opposite).

Otherwise...
