But... there was a... poll.

Yes, but it's not a fair poll.

Voting yes means you think P-basses are better than J-basses.

Voting no means you don't think P-basses are better than J-basses. It doesn't necessarily mean that you think J-basses are better than P-basses.

So everyone who thinks Js are better votes no, and everyone who thinks they are different but equal also votes no. Only those with a clear preference for Ps vote yes. In this sort of poll, the "no" option has a two-to-one advantage.

See, it's all in how you ask the question...

Can somebody from the J-affinity-boys-group please explain to me how to dial in an appropriate output from the two Vol-potis unless both are full on? What's the use of having two pickups and two Vol-potis when the tone changes significantly in the slightest turn of one knob? Not to discuss humming of the single single-coils ...
I’m curious why you have posted this particular Q, given that your avatar is a PJ config? Are you having issues with your bass, and trying to figure it out?

Well, there are two kinds of people: people who think there are two kinds of people and people who don’t.

Corn or flour tortilla? I prefer flour most of the time. Sometimes corn is so much better, depending on the application.

I will add that I am glad there is no carrot or which is best for metal options here. When I see of the memes TB chose to make timeless for itself, I can only think of the Knight at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade "He choose....... poorly." :D

Um... facetious... I got you, from the start. :D.

To each their own. I have used both, both have their uses. All depends on overall personal preference really. I love my Jazz Special bass though I will say that, kind of the best of both worlds.
