Argument in store over used bass

Maybe both guys learned something from this and will be less confrontational in the future.

I liked the suggestion that guy1 (I'm dropping the db out of respect for all) say to guy2 "Here, try it out." Maybe guy2 would have passed on it, thinking that if guy1 didn't think it was so hot, perhaps it wasn't worth the trouble. Sounds like the goth monstrosity wasn't the only bargain to be had there.

I can't wait for the thread that starts in a similar fashion, and both guys say "Here, you take it, I'll find something else to gather dust in my closet, maybe a plaster bust of Herman "Salmon Boy" Goering". It will probably expire after about 3 or 4 posts.

Makes perfect sense. Mechanical here.
Somewhere on TB there's a lib arts major looking at your three rights post, scratching their head and mumbling "I don't get it".

Sir, you do us wrong. Anybody who had to navigate downtown Petersburg, VA when they were doing construction in the old warehouse district "gets" this quite well. And we get it by our critical
thinking skills -- which are OURS -- not our battery-powered whiz-bang pocket gadgetry. :D

(Sorry. I still haven't recovered from the disappointment that "cromulent" has nothing to do with the seventeenth-century British Protectorate government.)

On O'Brien's television show, is the percussionist playing a "Conan-drum"?

"Upon further reflection, and looking at more than 500 posts, is it possible this whole situation was masterminded by the evil Mothman bass? I mean, we've got GOTH and MOTHman, and the color schemes of the respective basses have some similarities."

I think you're on to something here. The gothishness of the bass may have had an inflammatory effect on two otherwise stable people.

edited to correct spelling

Dbag wasn't a dbag, he was a good American.
"Hey Natives, are you using this land for farming?"
"Uh, no. This is our hunting ground. We use it during hunting season."
"Oh cool. Well, we're gonna take it and use it for farming then. Thanks!"
"Wait, what?"

Oh that's good.

So to recapitulate the whole thing then, its a Happy Thanksgiving tale that should be made into a movie! Perhaps the title could be "Thanksgiving Vacation"?
