Really? It's not so bad. I'm originally from Kapuskasing. It's a dry cold. It can actually be pleasant, especially if it's very sunny and no wind. Well, for the first 15 minutes at least...I have to put a sweater on just thinking about when I was in Thunder Bay. Yikes, that's cold even for me.

Argument in store over used bass

I agree. I think the OP needs to start referring to the altercation with the terms dbag-1 and dbag-2 since it truly was a double dbag infraction. Dbag-1 shouldn't have lied about the events to the sales rep and dbag-2 shouldn't have tried to grab it back out of his hands.
Don't forget, this wasn't a normal day at the guitar store where one could leisurely play and compare basses. It was a massive used inventory dump with guitars stacked upon guitars and stuff priced to sell quick. In essence a Black Friday type sale. In those circumstances if you find something you like and then put it down to see if you like something else even more you should fully expect some dbag to grab it. And if you try and wrestle it back out of their dbag mitts then you too are just as much a dbag as the other schmuck. The OP needs to get over it and just realize that unfortunately shopping etiquette goes out the window during super sales this time of year.
I personally don't shop Black Friday type sales for just this reason - too many dbags looking to grab something just as you start to reach for it and too many dbags willing to try and grab it back out of their hands and wrestle for it.

What if the 2nd party interested in the bass (I will refer to as "D" - I won't go there with the name calling lol) was actually planted there by the store to help "motivate" prospective buyers to buy guitars?
Really a way out there theory - but perhaps not out of place in a thread with fish species brought into question.
To the post above about the Black Friday reference. Yes, there were a lot of D's out there - I was next to an elderly lady in one of those store motorized wheelchairs. People were jostling her around trying to get past her, I stuck around to help her get the items she wanted. Crazy....some of the people pushing her around looked like decent enough people until the the rush was on.

When you guys get this settled maybe you can work on peace in the middle east. Salmon is kosher, so that might be a good starting point.

On a related note, about 25 years ago I got my first taste of mob buying etiquette quite by accident. It was late at night (actually very early in the morning) and my wife and I were on our way home from a road trip and noticed that a McAlpins store was still open so she decided to stop in to pick up something. I went in with her and couldn't believe the size of the crowd and the insanity. It was a "moonlight madness" sale. Gangs of shoppers mobbing racks of clothing grabbing three and four shirts off the rack at a time, yanking things out of other people's hands and just being general dbags. It was insane. So there I am, waiting for my wife and leaning against a stack of jeans when suddenly the loudspeaker announces 75% off all jeans. Before I knew what happened I was completely swarmed, knocked to the ground and trying to get out of the shopper scrum. Needless to say, the wife and I just left as fast as we could.
Can we just change the title to "I out dbagged a dbag at a super sale the other day". We'd probably all be in agreement with the OP if it was posted that way.

Wasn't a dbag.Was stopping/ putting a dbag in his place and it worked.
Also two ppl on a dead end aisle is a far cry from super sale.Maybe there was five ppl in the store that day,if that.
Please elaborate on how I am a dbag in the situation.
Also I've thought about the conspiracy theory side of it.I doubt it.Would take way to long to wait for the right moment and for $89? Really?

"Putting someone in their place" is a dbag move, IMO. I would hazard a guess that Mr. Dbag feels every bit as offended and justified in his actions as you do.
