Daisy chaining "through"? Maybe it wasn't really designed to pass 1.2 A, just power another typical pedal or two (which would be more like 1/10th of that). Owner's manual for the TU-3 might say.
Maybe get a splitter cable? The excess capacity of 500 mA from the 1 Spot should be way more than enough to run the tuner.
If I didn't already have a Zephyr, I'd have to get an Oracle.

Follow up here- these two go together like peas and carrots- surpassed my lofty expectations. String consistency and volume are unsurpassed. Micah listened to my design wants and needs and we hit a home run. I ran it just an hour, and was beyond pleased. I found the S300 to be extremely revealing; so much so that I settled on everything at noon regardless of amplification and found myself wanting a buffer of sorts running it into a JAD Freer CODA. While perfect on paper, i found myself adjusting my right hand attack to finger pads rather than fingertips. I had to back off, my right wrist parallel and negative rather than a + angle. No longer the case. This was a long time in the works. I had concerns about EM interference and heat. While there was no discernible EM- both components use toroidal transformers- i got a dry bulb temperature of 113F between the two components. Both Josh and Micah weren’t overly concerned about this, but i wanted to do what i could as the overall designer of this combo, and i had a 1/4” aluminum plate made that just undercuts the preamp. I ordered four Sorbothane feet used in home audio for vibration separation- conical- 2.37” wide at the base, 1-1/2” high, tapered to ~ 3/4”. They will be double stick taped, base side to the aluminum plate, tapered end sitting on top of the Arkham’s cage. I now have 1-1/2” of air between the amp and preamp instead of 9/32”. Huge improvement, still not visibly off-putting, and i have a heat sink that will protect the capacitors in the preamp from any excessive heat. This amp provides a viable comparison to the two Class D and G amps lacking tone controls that i own, the Baby Sumo and Jad Freer CODA. While it lacks the power either one of these provides, it blows them both away in how it sounds. No comparison. This combo buries my Jule Dovecage/M700, and UltraLinear. I’ve also got the ability to feed this amp with a number of preamps, something i haven’t done as yet, but it opens the door for stand alone all tube amplifiers lacking tone controls, arguably the benchmark for home audio. I had a goal in mind, Micah met it, and then some. The obvious competition would be the SVT300, but the preamp section is locked in, and I don’t need 300 watts. This combo is fun in comparison. Micah tweaked the inverter and gain, it is Ampeg based, im told, but the man can zig when it zags. If anyone out there is considering a custom build? My experience with Micah has been rewarding despite my overall lack of knowledge in amp design and limited description of what it was i was looking for. Pics of the final product upcoming. I get the Sorbothane feet Monday. This kind of thing isn’t for everybody. If you have read this far and have an interest, I would encourage you to look into contacting Micah. He’s working cheap, IMO. My Oracle gets paired with a Jay Ganz Straight Ahead Power Amp at home, and I imagine something like you've got would be a huge upgrade. You say he's working cheap, but even so, I imagine this is well beyond my scope in these dark days.
When I first got it, I didn't use a compressor. But I've been through a few since then, all of which I've liked: Cali76CB, Alma v2, and now the Echo Fix EF-P5. I greatly prefer playing with a compressor these days.
I have a love/hate relationship with compression. I am currently using two, the first is in a custom pedal that pairs a Boss OC-1 into a Boss CS2, and that is the first pedal in my current chain. I follow that up with a custom tubedrve/Lowrider into a Cali76TX into a Broughton Studio One into my tube preamp stage.
I find that compression strangles toan unless it is run light. I just want to kill peaks. I don’t see any benefit to running compression after the preamp stage unless it is a compressor like the LA1A or Doc Lloyd DL2A, and the ROI to be minimal. Its like putting a blanket on your toan, which can sometimes be nice, but it depends on what it is you’re tryna do.
I found the Oracle offers a fair amount of compression in and of itself. There is enough EQ and buffering in the Range knob as to make compression redundant, IMO. That Range knob sweeps the midrange from 150-1k, and interacts with the Oracle’s EQ in such a way pretty much does what i, at least expect from compression.

^^^THAT ^^^ is a wonderful work of perfect simplicity. I took that a step further with a tubedrve and lowrider and cleaned it all up with the Studio One, but man, I could EASILY rock that without looking back. Very nice.
how are you guys powering your oracle v2? I dont think i can afford a cioks 7 and a crux and I already have a power supply. was thinking of mountain a outlet under my board and just using the wall wort
