attack attack!.. revolutionaries or confused hipsters?

wow. so much hating.

i actually dig a couple of their songs. and at 34 i'm sure i'm not there target audience. no, they are nowhere near as talented (or if they are it doesn't come across in their songs) as Mr Bungle, but i like when people try to mesh song types together. a lot of Attack Attack's stuff doesn't do it for me, but they do have a couple interesting songs. which is way more than can be said for 90% of the people releasing albums.

There not the greatest and imo are just really funny to watch dont get me wrong theres some musicality in there songs, but the image they push is ridiculous. There are a lot better metalcore /deathcore bands out there. THe autotune stuff is just weird imo.

The music is better and tends to be more inventive, plus they have a very good sense of humor about the whole thing.**

Do they use auto-tune? Yeah, but they also covered Soulja Boy. Unlike Attack! Attack! who seem to believe auto-tune usage is some amazing thing, ISMFOF use it more to parody how ridiculous its gotten.

Which is understandable, because hardcore isn't really great for bass. I was listening to attack attack a while ago, and decided to pick up my bass and try to play along.

For spastic genre bending changes and silly interludes ranging from grindcore to jazz, I recommend iwrestledabearonce. They are not AUTOTUNE-DRUM MACHINE-MARCH OF THE CRABS-REPEAT.
