I don't much like the music - too many changes, I wish they'd stick to fewer themes and build "regular song structures" out of them. But their image, videos and self-promotion are brilliant.
Yes, it is brilliant. It works great for promoting the band and is very coherent.
Maybe for fans that are not actually in to metal. Anyone who actually listens to metal, hardcore, thrash, etc sees this band as a joke.
Pop fans on the other hand will like it and think it's "hardcore".
Guess which fans have more members, and therefore more money? From a business standpoint these guys are geniuses. Teens and young adults eat this stuff like candy. The band is making jabillions, so in a sense, yep, they're brilliant.

Look, "crab core" is now an internet meme, with loads of funny (or lame) pics, websites, spoofs, a Wiki page or two, and most people on the net have heard of it by now. And what band/video is always used as the illustration of "crab core"? Attack Attack. People, a band starting out can't buy that kind of publicity! They are making bank.

So, people who hate fun hate this band. People who don't hate this band like it. That doesn't sound bad to me at all. If it sounds bad to you, you have a right to that opinion.
When did I say I "hate fun"? My band is all about having fun. Doesnt mean I like crappy music!

If you want to see to some eurobeats mixed nicely with hardcore listen to AFI's death of seasons on sing the sorrow. There its pulled of very well.... it even fits the song perfectly.

money isnt everything, their image (although popular) is a joke and their music in everyway shape or form is garbage. what i dont like about bands like this is made of of guys and gals not much older then i am, who allthey do is whine about how life is so cruel and about how evil the goverment is in their music. honestly if i were to say something along those lines no one would take it seriously because im only 17 therefore i dont take what they sing seriously
