In my experience, a mismatched load like that is going to work badly, not because the resulting resistance is too low, but because the lower resistance cab will be significantly louder, drawing more power from the amp. Was the little 8ohm 10" even audible?

LOL....yes, I know.....I almost made that mistake myself....but really....at 15 x 14 x 14 you can't call it a Child....so I started calling them ThunderTots but kids or babies will do just as

Yes, so was I...but frankly, that would be awesome...just plug my bass in my ear and out comes sound from my T*ts.......it would make the schlepp a lot easier since I can't seem to get away from them anyway.....lol....
