AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

For those that care, last gig I doubled on bass and acoustic guitar (Godin nylon with piezo/preamp built in). Both instruments sounded fantastic - this straight into a Puma 500 and a single H1203. The cab never ceases to amaze me...
Great to hear this. It is nice to have a backline that is versatile.

This also speaks well, hopefully, for the new Genzler Amplification BA12-3, which appears to use the same 3" drivers, although the crossover design is the major consideration to mate the different drivers together, something we all know Duke is a master at.

For those that are more deeply interested, you can listen to pretty much the whole gig from last Wed. Was a 13 song set, 10 made it onto the album (which can be downloaded for free if you so desire). Scarborough and Everybody are acoustic guitar. The rest are Smith 5-string. Sound is a combination of xy mic on the Zoom H6, a mono feed from the board (with vox, violin, kick), and direct out of the Puma:

Tonight's rig. Duke the cabs sound stellar as usual! Besides my old Mesa road ready 4x10, this is the happiest I've been with cabinets!

That's good stuff. Love your playing, the fiddle and my hathors.

I've been digging the m700 and one for the oldies and pop band but still think the prodigy cranked into two is the bee's knees with the absurdly loud original group.

Tried out the port plug last night. This room is long, narrow and hard surfaced all around. Reminded of what I liked about sealed cabs. The hathor gives the best of ported and sealed worlds.

My wittle bass wig in the corner...

Playing it made me feel...

So...... what's going on in Audio Kinesis land lately? I've been pretty busy gigging lately and haven't had a chance to check in. Of course, the Hathor 1203's are performing just fine.

Just started playing in another band. Kinda folky, bluegrassy, singer/songwriter type stuff. Just a four piece with me being the only one electrified. With this project, I'm using my ToneHammer 500 and one 1203. Works great.

Just wondering if Duke has gotten settled in at his new digs, and who's getting new cabs. Anything new coming down the line?

Carry on!

My second hathor 1203 (bought the first on the classifieds here) should be ready early this month.
