AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

Those two little 1x12s are really that powerful (figuratively of course)? :eyebrow:

MM
I have two 1203's and they are very powerful. I used to gig with that setup a lot until I tried one 1203 with my TC112v1. For me that is the ultimate setup.

When using two 1203's it was a bit too aggressive with the mids so I would always engage the switch on one 1203 to smooth out the mids.

That's a 2.67 ohm load... What amp do you use?

Alright guys, so I'm having Duke build two Hathor1203's for me... But I'm a bit nervous. My primary rig right now is a Glock HR into a Glock 410.... This rig handles the B string of my Elrick very nicely at full rock volume.... I just received a Mesa D800 today, my question/concern is will the Mesa/ two Hathor setup be able to reproduce the integrity of the low B at gig volume,or will that be too much to reasonably expect from such a diminutive setup???

I'll go on record and say you will be fine. Calling @nostatic for his gig volume testimonials...

Pretty sure the low end is similar between the two, main difference is the presentation of the higher frequencies with the Thunderchild being more hi-fi sounding. But the Hathor is pretty darn hi-fi sounding when it wants to be if you ask me. Yet it grinds beautifully when asked to thanks to the 3" paper high frequency driver. Best of all worlds imo

The TC goes a tad lower but truth be told I have Mike A. Building me an MAS109 with an optional filter than can turn it into a "sub" with the H1203 as an experiment. Over the long haul I am more of a Hathor guy than TC so I wouldnt mind being back on a pair of H1203s for larger gigs either. Need to ping Mike and see when it'll be done and put the TC up for sale. H1203 is still my "take to every gig" cab. Second cab is just for more oomph.
